Exporting a project from Composer

When using the Export project and all assets feature, Composer copies the project file and all used media files to a chosen destination folder.

Exported media files are stored in a subfolder named Media, while the project file and the project script file (if applicable) are saved in the root of the destination folder.

If the project uses active DeckLink Capture inputs, snapshot images of the incoming video will be automatically exported to the Snapshots folder.

Additionally, if the Snapshots folder within the Composer application directory contains other files—such as snapshots from the DeckLink Input's Stillstore feature—these files will also be exported.

To export the project, use the application menu File->Export->Export project and assets...

Transferring a project to a different machine

To transfer the project to another machine, the simplest method is to use the Export project feature, then create a zip file (or similar compressed archive) of all exported content. This archive can be transferred to other computers.

Once extracted on the target machine, Composer (both Desktop and Runtime versions) can open and run the projects, including transferring projects from a Windows Desktop to a Linux environment.
