  • Enable VU-meters: - Shows or hides all VU-meters in the interface.
  • Default number if audio channels - Set how many audio channels Composer should process. Available Options:
    • Two (Stereo)
    • Eight
  • Peak level meter max age - Sets how long the warning stays visible when the audio exceeds the maximum allowed level. The indicator shows the amount in dB over the max, then disappears after the specified time.
  • Require audio device on application startup - Enables an audio device check at application start. There might be a few rare scenarios where this is important. One such scenario might be when accessing the application via an RDP session. Typically this option is inactive/unchecked.
  • Use RMS VU-meters - Adds an inner VU meter that displays the RMS (Root Mean Square) audio level inside the regular peak meter, making it easier to compare peak and average loudness.
  • RMS Window size (ms) - Sets the time span (in milliseconds) over which the RMS level is calculated. Shorter values make the meter respond quickly to sudden changes, while longer values produce a smoother reading but may underrepresent brief transient peaks.
  • Show audio tab: Depricated.
